What we collect and what we don't

The core feature of this tool — editing your log — runs entirely inside your browser. The chat log content you paste is never transmitted to or stored on the author's server.

In other words, your chat log data never leaves your device, and the author cannot collect or read it. This is a privacy guarantee built into how the tool is designed.

Cookies and local storage

This tool may use your browser's local storage to remember certain settings (such as your language choice) or your editing state. That data is also kept only in your browser.

The analytics and advertising services described below may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

This tool uses Google Analytics to understand visit statistics and usage patterns. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data such as page visits and device type, which helps the author improve the service. The content of individual chat logs is never part of this analytics data.

Advertising (Google AdSense and Kakao AdFit)

This tool serves ads through Google AdSense and Kakao AdFit (a Daum/Kakao ad network).

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this tool or other websites. In particular, Google uses third-party cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve personalized ads based on your previous visits.

Kakao AdFit may likewise use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and measure their performance.

How to opt out of personalized ads

You can turn off personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com).

You can also opt out of personalized advertising from many participating third-party vendors at once at https://aboutads.info.

Independently of the above, you can limit personalized ads by blocking or deleting third-party cookies in your browser's cookie settings.

Third-party links

This tool may contain links to external sites such as Roll20, Tistory, and Google Forms. Those external sites are governed by their own privacy policies, and this tool is not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

Children's privacy

This tool is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please let us know using the contact below and we will take appropriate action.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (Europe) or the CCPA (California, USA) to access, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data. Note that because this tool does not store chat log content on any server, the personal data the author holds is minimal by design.
